Shaah is a much healthier drink than coffee because it contains less caffeine. A typical cup of Shaah contains about 20-50mg of caffeine, whereas a cup of coffee contains as much as 180-200mg of caffeine. Caffeine can be beneficial in small doses, but too much caffeine can be detrimental to your health, leading to issues like insomnia, anxiety, and restlessness. The lower caffeine content in Shaah makes it a better choice if you are looking for a healthier and less stimulating drink

    Shaah is a Somali term used to refer spiced tea traditionally made at home. In Somali hospitality, being offered a cup of Shaah as a guest in someone's home is a customary and warm gesture.

    Shaah tea blend consists of Kenyan black tea, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and cardamon. Although sharing a flavor profile with Chai tea, Shaah distinguishes itself with a robust ginger presence, delivering a spicy taste sensation.

How to Brew

  • Step one

    Boil two(2) cups of water in a kettle and turn off the heat

  • Step two

    Add one (1) tablespoon of the tea blend into the kettle and steep it for 3-4 minutes

  • Step three

    Strain the tea blend into a cup and enjoy

Great authentic tea!

I drink a lot of tea, but this is my first time drinking authentic Somali tea. The spice gives the tea a great flavor without needing to be sweetened which is just what I'm looking for.

I'm grateful Yubi has introduced me to this type of tea!

The tea is amazing. Unfortunately, although we ordered three of the Shaah packets, we only received two of them. We sent you an email to inform you of the discrepancy, but have not received a reply from you. I regret leaving a bad review, however, I feel as though this may be the only way to receive a reply from you.
